Chrome: Google’s Browser
I was stupid enough to not have thought about this before hand. I guess it was inevitable that Google would pretty much create an application for everything. That includes viewing the web.
Presented in comic-book form, Google pretty much announced there newest “Microsoft/Firefox”-killer… CHROME.
In my opinion, I don’t think it’d kill Firefox. It would only kill Microsoft. Reason being: it’s open source and open source products tend to help each other out sort of. Anything Google comes up with in Chrome, Firefox will be able to enter that feature in as well. Anything Firefox does, Google will be able to do. They will compliment each other I think and ultimately we’ll get two very awesome browsers. I mean, good’ol competition is the best way to get products to improve and microsoft wasn’t doing a very good job, I think.
Personally, I’m excited for Google’s hand at the web browser business. Not because it’s going to add to my already too big collection of browsers, but I think it’ll spark some really good ideas that other browsers will incorporate and it’ll all just be fun and dandy!
There. That’s my optimistic approach to the subject. Now, how bout Microsoft? Instead of sending a cake, I think they’re gonna send a pack of ninja’s to Google’s home base.
