The Court of Opinion

August 25th, 2008 by Skankity Spence

I ’stumble’ a lot of web pages these days now and it’s a rare moment in time when I find original and unique websites. Something that isn’t a music player, a blog (like this!), a comic strip or some funny image. They could have some good quality stuff, but how often to find a website that you haven’t exactly seen before?

Well, I might have seen a similar kind of website as Court of Opinion, I might not. I don’t know – there are a lot of internetz out there. Internet is serious business. But if I can recall at least semi-correctly, I have never seen a website executed or using the tactic that Court of Opinion has. I trully find it unique and extremely addictive.

The website acts as a mock ‘Court Room’ and you’re able to bring things to the table you either hate or question. Be a plaintiff and make someone the defendant. Question something and let the ‘High Council’ help you understand, decide for you, whatever.

In order to be the plaintiff arguing with a defendant, you must first present your case, and then you will enter the email of the defendant. This person will get an email and then if he accepts, he can plead his case. This is when everyone else comes into play. You can decide who you are for and write your opinion on the matter. Awesome!

Presenting a case to the ‘High Council’ means that you can explain a situation, question, whatever and other users can give their opinion on the matter and help you decide/answer the question for you. Awesome again!

The subjects that come up are usually funny and/or weird. But it’s entertaining and so much fun in my opinion!

My only suggestion is that whenever a case is over, there could be a threaded discussion within that case and expand on the subject. That would very nearly complete this brand new website, I think.

Still, though, it’s extremely fun and I suggest you try it out!
