InstantAction: It’s Actually Pretty Cool…

July 2nd, 2008 by Skankity Spence

Well, if you haven’t heard about it yet, Quake III Arena is being zapped back to life with ID’s Quake Live. It will be one of those new free browser games. (But will be driven by ads.) And I’m actually extremely pumped about it – not because I don’t have a copy of the game from back when (because I do), but for the friends lists and stats. Plus, you’ll get some newbies in there so maybe I’ll have a chance at winning sometime, eh?

But anyways, that game is deep in the pot of Beta and probably won’t be out for another while. So to quench my fast-paced FPS thirst, I decided to go into uncharted territory and check out InstantAction.

InstantAction is fairly new and holds a small database of browser-based games. Not your typical FLASH stuff, of course, but real, good looking games. Of the small titles is Fallen Empire: Legions, a fast-paced FPS game similar to, for instance, Quake.

If you have the itch to play some good FPS, browser-based game like I do and have a hard time waiting for Quake Live to officially come out, check out Fallen Empire: Legions at InstantAction. It’s actually a lot of fun.

I’ll admit, it’s no Quake, though.
