Web 2.0: Piclens

June 28th, 2008 by Skankity Spence

If you haven’t heard already, Piclens [see video] is a program that allows you to surf the web in a pretty cool way. With it, you get some neat Web 2.0 effects. I highly recommend you try it out. It’s available for just about all major browsers [Not IE 7.0, though] and supported by most popular websites. Flickr, Myspace, Facebook, Google, Amazon and I’m sure the list will grow in time.

Piclens also allows for some pretty simple integration into your very own website. Visit this link for instructions on how to add functionality to your website and even customize the logo, add music, videos, etc. Very cool.

It’s even simpler if you’re running your website on Wordpress. Piclens released an easy to install plugin, but a third party increased its functionality for Wordpress and made it an easy click’n'go process. Visit: Piclens Plus Plugin for Wordpress

My only complaint: No Linux support?
